I am 70. I live in Pune, Maharashtra, India with my wife Viju and my grandson Yohul since 1985. I was born in Baroda, Gujarat, India in 1938. I was raised in Baroda and in Bombay. I graduated in 1959 and obtained B.A. with Honours in English Literature. I published my first book of poems in Marathi in 1960. The same year I was married to Viju and we went to Ethiopia where I had a three-year contract to teach English in high schools. My son Ashay (1961-2003) was born in Addis Ababa. We returned to Bombay in July 1963 by a French ship, Cambodge of the Messagerie Maritimes. After our return, we moved from place to place in the city, and I from one job to another. I was a journalist, an editor, a translator, a film maker, a screenplaywright, an artist, a book designer, a copywriter, a proofreader, a copy editor, and a sales promotion executive. I set up a consultancy of my own in 1977. In 1980, I started a film project. My Hindi feature film, GODAM, was made in 1983. In 1984, it won the
